PAREIDOLIA
Une paréidolie est un phénomène psychologique impliquant un stimulus visuel ou auditif vague et indéterminé, plus ou moins perçu comme reconnaissable. Ainsi face à une image indéfinissable, notre cerveau a une tendance naturelle à assimiler cette perception nouvelle à celles déjà connues et répertoriées dans la mémoire. Chacun peut voir une chose différente dans une paréidolie.
A pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon involving a vague and indeterminate visual or auditory stimulus, more or less perceived as recognizable. Thus facing an indefinable image, our brain has a natural tendency to assimilate this new perception with those already known and recorded in memory. Everyone can see a different thing in a pareidolia.
